I was wondering if anyone was researching McIntosh family history in Fife, especially in the Dunfermline area. Most of my ancestors on my Fathers side are McIntosh's from the fife and have taken the tree back to 1745. Would love to share information and find more family links. If so please get in touch. Allen

Visited the library in Cupar today. We were researching family names of Nairn, Laing, Fernie, and Lyell from Newburgh and Ceres. What a great library! The people were very helpful and friendly. We are will try and go again before we have to leave. Thank you

Hi all,
I've been able to trace my family tree back to Fife (MUNGO HAY born 1702 in Falkland and ROBERT HAY born 1733 in Kennoway). By some remote chance, does anyone happen to be researching the HAYS of Fife? I'd be very interested to know. Thanks.

Researching my husband's Somerville (Lanarkshire) and Creech (Fife) paternal ancestry. Our first immigrant Somerville arrived in Colonial America ca 1666 and this lineage is able to be well researched. Our first immigrant Creich, (Ruisart) arrived and worked as a mercenary soldier at the Jamestowne settlement. He came with his wife, Frances, and 1 or 2 sons, - Nicholas and Henry. Ruisart, Frances, and a daughter were killed in an Indian massacre of settlement. The 2 sons were spared because they were "away". Can anyone help me with the research of Ruisant's ancestry? I am planning a trip to Scotland in August and will have a couple of days to devote to this. All advice, guidance and help would be greatly appreciated! I am tryng to document Ruisart for the Jamestowne Society and the thousands of CREECH throughout USA who could become eligible for membership in this elite Society. Camille Stroud Summerlin

William Malcolm, wright, b 1797 in Newburgh, Fife, to William Malcolm, or Malcom, and Helen Leech. I can find no records for this Helen Leech, so I have no clue where they came from, or if they were from Fife. I have hit a roadblock. Does anyone have any information to share regarding this family? A possible clue: There was a John Leitch, b 1822 in Ceres, who married Grace Malcolm, daughter of William Malcolm and Helen Robertson. It's possible he was related, but there are no records for my Helen Leech in Ceres.

Hello,
My 3rd great grandfather William Malcolm, wright, b 1797 in Newburgh, Fife married Helen Robertson, probably in 1820 in Kettle, Fife, as that is the only record I could find. They lived in Kilmany fron the 1820s to 1858. I can't find Helen Robertson's birth records. There was another Helen Robertson b 1803 in Kettle, but she was still there after my ggg grandmother died in 1849. Does anyone have information on this family?

Hello
My maternal line goes back to two Thomsons who married and then left for Sydney Australia in 1848 from Leven in Fife. I see ther are plenty of Thomsons still in Leven and Fife generally. Wondering if there are any with an interest in family history regards

I am trying to locate any details of Alexander (b. 1835) & Isabella (b.1839) Ross, they had at least three living children David (b.1862), James (b.1867) and Annie Martha (b.1873) (my great-grandmother). My great grandmother Annie, married John Faid Nichol and had one child Nancy, migrated to Australia at some point, also had travelled to Quebec, Canada and then New Zealand en route to Australia. Annie died in North Sydney in 1935. I would dearly love information with regard to the Ross family.
